Dear Sir or Madam:
On May 23rd, 2005 — Queen Victoria Day, you moved Mrs. Eleanor P from her apartment at on Cornwall Avenue to her new assisted-living apartment. On behalf of Mrs. P, her daughter and my wife, Marilyn, who was in charge of the moving, and myself, I want to extend a profound thanks for all that you did for us on that date.
I was present and can attest to the fact that Marilyn had arranged for the move with Jessie's over a week before May 23rd. I heard her make the reservation. Jessie's had promised to be at Mrs. P's place by 11am on the morning of May 23rd. We waited over an hour before we called Jessie's, and the company denied our having made any such arrangements! Not only did they deny the reservations but said that since it was a holiday, they had no crews on board and refused to call in a crew!
Mrs. P is 95 years old—frail, but in good health considering her age. She was completely packed up. Nothing was left unboxed. Marilyn and I had arrived early that morning to box up every last item for the move. What were we to do now? We were completely packed, it was a holiday; we began to panic.
We called several movers without results before we finally found one who said they might be there by four in the afternoon, before I remembered your company. Marilyn called and spoke with Deneen. She said she could have two men to Cornwall Avenue by two o'clock. You can't imagine how relieved we were.
Your two men, Dan and Tony, came exactly when promised and began moving at ten minutes to three, and performed heroically. We could not have had two more kind, considerate, generous and hard-working men. They were great! The move was made efficiently and safely, nothing was broken or bruised and we were extremely pleased with the results and costs.
So we would like to commend these three people and your company for coming to our rescue and moving us efficiently and on time. We will certainly let others know they can count on you.
Please convey our thanks to Dan and Tony.
With gratitude,
Will G
On behalf of Marilyn B and Mrs. Eleanor P.
